Our Commitments
At Holland House, we believe creativity should be built on fairness, safety, and inclusion. We’re committed to creating a culture where team members, freelancers, clients, and collaborators feel respected and supported.
Here you’ll find our key commitments, which guide how we work every day.
1.Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
Holland House is committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all areas of our work. We believe that diverse voices and perspectives strengthen creativity and improve outcomes, especially in health and community-focused projects.
We are an equal opportunities organisation and do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, age, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, or any other protected characteristic.
All recruitment, training, and project opportunities are open to everyone based on skills, experience, and merit.
We design and deliver projects that are accessible and inclusive, with content tailored to reach underrepresented communities.
Harassment, bullying, or victimisation of any kind is not tolerated.
Fair Treatment in Employment and Services
At Holland House we follow equality law in Great Britain and any other countries where we work. This means we do not discriminate — directly or indirectly — when making decisions about recruitment, pay, training, transfers, or promotions.
The same commitment applies to the way we deliver our services. Everyone we work with, from clients to participants, is treated fairly and with respect.
Discipline and Dismissal
We take any breach of our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion commitments seriously. Discrimination, harassment, victimisation, or behaviour that undermines these principles may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of contract.
All staff and freelance partners are briefed on these commitments during onboarding to ensure awareness and compliance. Overall responsibility for EDI rests with the Director, Jodie Bailey. This policy is reviewed annually.
2. Safeguarding
Holland House is committed to safeguarding the welfare of everyone we work with, including children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
We comply with UK safeguarding legislation and follow best practice in all our projects.
For projects involving children, young people, or vulnerable adults, we ensure appropriate checks (including DBS where required) and risk assessments are in place.
Model/release consent will be obtained and stored separately to project files.
Visual or narrative content used in projects can be anonymised on request.
All staff and freelancers are expected to uphold safe working practices and report any concerns immediately.
Concerns or disclosures are treated with seriousness, with clear channels in place for reporting and review.
Overall responsibility for safeguarding rests with the Director, Jodie Bailey. We aim to create a culture where everyone feels safe, respected, and able to raise concerns. This policy is reviewed annually.
3. Accessibility
Holland House is committed to inclusion. We want our services and projects to be accessible to everyone, regardless of background, culture, or circumstance.
We use clear, plain English in our materials.
All video content is subtitled, with alternative formats available on request.
We also offer support for those needing content in different languages or communication styles, ensuring participants can engage fully and fairly.
If you need information in another format, language, or require additional support to participate in a project, please contact us — we’ll do our best to meet your needs.
Overall responsibility for Accessibility rests with the Director, Jodie Bailey. This policy is reviewed annually.
Updates
This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as needed to reflect changes in law or practice.
